Hands-on with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro!

The  Xiaomi Redmi Note  6 Pro was  launched  at an event in New Delhi today for a price of ₹13,999 for the 4GB RAM variant and ₹15,999 for the 6GB RAM variant. With the Redmi Note 6 Pro, Xiaomi is playing extremely safe, providing an incremental upgrade over the Redmi Note 5 Pro. The major point of difference in hardware is the notched display and a change in the camera setup on the device, while the addition of “AI” improvements to camera software will help it further improve its camera performance. Xiaomi chose to retain the system-on-chip from the Redmi Note 5 Pro over onto the Redmi Note 6 Pro, which means that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 continues doing what it does best: providing a healthy mix of performance and battery life. The choice of SoC isn’t bad, per se — the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 is a capable early mid-range SoC that should have no issues handling the average consumer’s workload at this price range. Earlier this week, Apple announced a four-day "shopping event" that would kick off on Friday, November 23. In Australia, where it is already Friday, Apple's big shopping event has gone live. The offers basically consist of gift cards that can be applied when purchasing specific products. None of the gift cards can be applied to any of the company's latest products, like the iPhone XR or the 2018 Mac Mini. Apple's pre-announced four-day "shopping event"  has already gone live in Australia , where it is currently Friday. If you were hoping Apple would discount any of its newest products, like the iPhone XS or redesigned MacBook Air, prepare to be disappointed. Xiaomi moves 600,000 Redmi Note 6 Pro units in first India sale     23 November 2018 Xiaomi launched  the  Redmi Note 6 Pro  in India a couple of days ago, and the device has so far been a resounding success in the subcontinent. In its first sale in the country, the company managed to move more than 600,000 units. That's pretty impressive, and Xiaomi expects to sell even more in upcoming sales. The Redmi Note 6 Pro is the new king of the Redmi series, which focuses on pairing good specs with very affordable prices. It starts at just INR 13,999 ($198 or €175), while packing a 6.25-inch 1080x2280 notched touchscreen, the Snapdragon 636 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, a 12 MP main rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and 1.4µm pixels, a 20 MP main selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture, and a couple of depth sensors for bokeh - one on the back, one on the front. Honor 8C India launch date is November 29 Just six months after the launch of the Honor 7C, the Chinese smartphone company is set to launch its successor, the Honor 8C. This new smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 processor and features AI-enhanced cameras, a notched display, and Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. The Honor 8C is expected to be launched in two variants, one with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, and the other with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. We got to spend some time with the latter variant of the Honor 8C before its official launch - scheduled for November 29 - and here are our first impressions.
